For me, coaching is about forming a partnership between you and me to maximize your human potential. This diagram gives a visual overview of my coaching process.
First, we establish trust by consciously co-creating how we’ll be working together. An important part of my job is also creating the space for you to feel comfortable enough to open up to the deeper parts of yourself in my presence.
Whenever you feel safe, we can explore your values and deepen self awareness. From that place of deep connection to your values, like a flash of lightning, suddenly you become clear on what you really want. This is where I invite you to dream big and ‘build castles in the sky.’
Once we’ve come up with some ideas for action which are deeply connected to your values, we can start to develop an action plan. In other words, build a foundation under those floating castles. Here I can help you develop a robust strategy for accomplishing your dream, as well as provide accountability to hold you to your mission.
We repeat this process over and over for whatever subject you’d like to focus on that day. It doesn’t always happen in this order; sometimes we dance back and forth between all these stages. The key here is developing action from deeply held values; if we don’t skip the values, our action plans become much more sustainable.
How is coaching done?
I work with most clients over the phone or through Skype. I believe the most effective way to work together is to speak once a week for about 45 minutes, around three times a month. I prefer working with clients who are committed to longer term change, so I usually recommend signing up for three months at first and deciding whether or not to continue after that time. That being said, I’m very flexible and it’s important to me to consider your needs when we’re establishing how we’ll work together.
How much does it cost?
I want everyone to be able to experience a coaching relationship. If price is a concern for you, please reach out and we’ll do our best to come to a fee that works for both of us. As for specifics, everyone has different needs, so I don’t have a one-size-fits-all price. Let’s start a conversation about your needs, and once I’m clear on those, I’m confident we can work out an offer that will meet both our needs.
Where are you located?
I’m currently located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which is in the Eastern Time Zone of the United States. Since I do most of my coaching on the phone or via video chat, I’m happy to work with clients all over the world.
How do I get started?
Email me at eric.couillard@gmail.com or call me at 734-223-5771. First we’ll set up a time for a free sample session to get to talk a little bit more about what I do, what you’re wanting, and assess whether or not we’re a good fit. After you decide to continue the relationship, we’ll have a discovery session where I get to know you and what’s most important to you. Then we set up our regular calls and the real action starts to happen.
